Many email service providers will not allow you to mail "leads".
They only allow e-mail campaigns to be sent to existing customers or subscribers because they receive less complaints.
For example mailing to your own existing customers can have an open rate of 15% or higher, and you will very rarely receive a complaint.
If you send e-mail to leads that do not have a prior relationship with you the open rate will typically be less than 5%.
If you put the wrong links or words in your e-mail you will end up in the junk folder and the open rate will be less that 1%.
And if you receive complaints as high as .02% your e-mail service provider may drop you as a client.

So what if you are not an advanced e-mail marketer? What does work?
Select a different type of lead and ALWAYS call your leads on the telephone FIRST and then send personalized follow-up e-mails!
Your leads will open your follow-up e-mails because they will search their e-mail account and look for you. The combination of a voice-mail and follow up e-mail is very effective!
Remember having a successful business is the result of building long term relationships, and in network marketing this is best acheived over the phone.
